Types of Shampoo Print
Thousands of good shampoos exist, one for every conceivable type of hair or scalp condition you the client could have. Dry, oily, fine, coarse, lightened, permed, relaxed, or chemically untreated hair. The key is knowing you hair type & selecting the proper shampoo. Customers are more than welcome to bring their own hair products. We at Elegante try to help by making recommendations. Here is some tips to help you select the proper shampoo for your hair type.

Chemically Processed hair:
Chemically processed hair tends to be dryer & more fragile than natural hair. Therefore, a mild – shampoo formulated for chemically processed hair is recommended. You can buy it at Elegante, or Sallys. If hair is tangled comb the hair gently from the nape of the head & work to the frontal area. The hair may knot up if not moisturized properly before drying. Always use a deep conditioner to revitalize the hair and add vitamins to repair damages.

PH in shampoos: (potential hydrogen) PH levels in shampoo are measured in range from 0-14. The amount of hydrogen in a shampoo determines whether it is more alkaline or more acid based. A shampoo that is acid  based has a PH rating from 0 to 6.9. A shampoo that’s more alkaline can have a PH rating from 7 to 14. The higher the PH rating (more alkaline), the stronger and harsher the shampoo is to the hair. A high PH shampoo could leave the hair dry and brittle.
